Candy Buffet!

Well, the candy buffet at my nephew's wedding this weekend was a huge success! Yay!! The theme was chocolate brown and pink with cherry blossoms. The groom is a Star Wars Fan and the bride loves Tinkerbell... hence the M&M machine I made as a little tribute. Everyone seemed to really enjoy all of the sweets and seemed entranced by the beauty and kitchiness of it all. Guests were drawn to it from beginning to end. :)

It's a Beautiful Day!

It's a beautiful day... the sun is shining... the birds are chirping, and I'm in my office not able to see or hear it! Bummer. But that's okay. Today I began my first blog after getting an email about Creative Estates Conference. A conference for creative people, like me, only I can't attend because it's the weekend of my nephew's wedding. That's okay though, because I'm making the candy buffet for his event! I'm so stoked about it too, because I get to beautify lots of plain glass jars and turn them into proud holders of "The candy!" Oh, they'll be proud, count on that. They will be adorned with pretty ribbons in chocolate brown and pinks with bedazzled tags I'm having fun making. 'Bedazzeled' sure sounds cheesey, doesn't it? I picture a jean jacket with rinestones... trust me, it's not like THAT! I will post pictures to share after the event and you can tell me. Okay, must get back to reality. One day this will be my reality. 

Step out and take a deep breath and count your blessings. It's a beautiful day.
